NIENTE PROGETTI PER IL FUTURO

Niente Progetti per il Futuro (No Plans for the Future) won the Flaiano Award 2009 for the following reasons: “Drama subtle and engaging, often unpredictable, in representing the encounter of a simple mechanic with a VIP of television, educated and intelligent but egocentric beyond all limits. What emerges is a portrait of an entire society, value-free and full of contradictions.” (video)

TUTTA COLPA DI GARIBALDI (It’s Garibaldi Fault)

Why “Blame Garibaldi”?
Two hundred years after its birth his legend lives and endures in Italy remaining torn between beatification and damnation, between emotional involvement and ignorant indifference.

Gioele Dix, Nicola Fano and Sergio Fantoni have thought and wrote a show that tells the tragicomic vicissitudes of an actor-actor who was commissioned to set up a celebratory text on Garibaldi.
By studying the extraordinary public and private biography of the Hero of the Two Worlds, he discovers a complex figure that escapes every definition and rhetoric. (video)

IL CONTRABASSO

“The Double Bass” is a brilliant, manic, absurd, theatrical text. Maurizio Micheli is in the guise of a mediocre double bass player hampered by his shyness to declare his love to Sarah, sweet mezzo-soprano. With “The Double Bass” you laugh, but it is a laughter that leaves the bitter aftertaste, that drives us to meditate on the fate of modern man, lost in a world overcrowded, unable to cry out the pain that consumes him.
